Bloemendaal's women have strengthened for next season with Sofie ter Kuile. The goalkeeper comes over from HGC and will be the successor of Phileine Hazen, who is transferring to SCHC, at the promotion team.

Ter Kuile already has the necessary experience in the Hoofdklasse. Previously, she was active with Amsterdam, where she became second goalkeeper at a young age, and most recently she stood under the crossbar at HGC. She was also a member of the Dutch Junior Team, with which she won two world championships.

At Bloemendaal, Ter Kuile should contribute to the further development of the team. The club returned to the Hoofdklasse last season and wants to develop sustainably towards the left row in the coming years.

According to Michiel Hilders, member of Bloemendaal's Top Hockey board, Ter Kuile's arrival matches that ambition. 'With her, we get our dream successor to Phileine. Sofie is driven to reach the top, mega talented and has been competing in the Hoofdklasse for several years. After the successful return season in the Hoofdklasse, we want to sustainably grow into the left row with our ladies.'

Ter Kuile herself, in her first season with Bloemendaal, mainly wants to adapt quickly to her new environment and contribute to the growth of the team. 'I especially want to find my place within the team and contribute to the process,' says the goalkeeper. 'And of course stop as many balls as possible.'
