Keeper David Harte will leave Kampong this summer

David Harte will quit Kampong at the end of the season. The 36-year-old Irish goalkeeper, named World Goalkeeper of the Year in 2015 and 2016, is returning to his native country after 15 years in the Hoofdklasse.

Harte has been playing in Utrecht since the summer of 2012 after transferring from SCHC, where he was under the crossbar for two seasons. With Kampong, Harte became national champion three times (in 2017, 2018 and 2024) and captured the EHL in 2016.

Harte represented the Irish national team 247 times. With Ireland he participated in the Olympics in 2016 and 2024. After this season, the goalkeeper will return to Ireland with his wife and two children.
