Janssen all-time top scorer for Kampong in play-offs
Jip Janssen's four goals in the first semi-final against Bloemendaal (5-2) set a club record at Kampong on Saturday.
The Utrecht defender lifted his total production in the play-offs to fourteen goals and thus crowned himself Kampong's all-time top scorer in the national title.
Janssen thereby smashed the club record of Philip Meulenbroek and Constantijn Jonker: both had eleven play-off goals to their name on behalf of the Utrecht club.
With his performance against Bloemendaal, Janssen became the sixth player in the history of the play-offs to score at least four times in one match. His former team-mate Meulenbroek, Matthijs Brouwer (Den Bosch), Piet-Hein Geeris (Den Bosch), Remco van Wijk (Bloemendaal) and Troy Elder (Oranje Zwart) preceded him in this. Of these five, Geeris is the only one ever to score five goals in one play-off game.
Since Saturday, Bloemendaal is Janssen's favourite opponent in the play-offs: he already scored six goals against The Mussen. Furthermore, he registered three goals against Rotterdam, two against Pinoké and Oranje-Rood and one against Pinoké.
