Kampong book first league win after winter break
Five days after winning the European club title, Kampong's men also recorded another victory in the Tulp Hoofdklasse. At the Klapperboom, Schaerweijde was beaten 3-0 on Saturday night. Duco Telgenkamp scored two of the three Utrecht goals, after Derck de Vilder had opened the scoring. For Kampong, it marked the first win after the winter break.
Kampong - Schaerweijde 3-0
There was finally the first league win of 2026 for Kampong. The freshly crowned European club champion handled number ten Schaerweijde in front of their own crowd: 3-0. At half-time, the home team was already leading 2-0. With his second goal of the season, Derck de Vilder opened the scoring after 15 minutes. Three minutes later, Duco Telgenkamp doubled the lead. The striker, who is leaving for Amsterdam after this season, set the final score just before time and brought his season total to 14 goals.
With the victory, Kampong put an end to a weak run, taking just one point in six league matches. Schaerweijde, which had never won in Utrecht against Kampong, suffered only its third defeat in the last nine league games.
