On the eighteenth round of play, Kampong's men's side recorded an important win in the battle for participation in the playoffs. The number four on the rankings won 3-1 against Den Bosch on Saturday.

Kampong - Den Bosch 3-1
Den Bosch suffered its second loss of the season. Visiting national champions Kampong in Utrecht, the new cup winner went down 3-1. In the second quarter, Timo Boers put the visitors ahead by exploiting a penalty corner - his 21st goal of the season.

After half-time, Jonas de Geus put things in order on behalf of Kampong, after which Jip Janssen made the final score with two hit penalty corners. Thanks to those goals, Janssen has scored 23 goals this season and his total in the Tulp Hoofdklasse now stands at 149. Kampong is now four league matches in a row unbeaten, while for Den Bosch a series of six matches without defeat came to an end.

HDM - Pinoké 2-3
For the second week in a row, Joep Troost was responsible for Pinoké's complete production. With three hat-tricks in the last four rounds of play and a total of 12 goals after the winter break, Troost is the man in form. HDM led 2-1 after two quarters thanks to two goals by Mats Dicke.

In between, Troost had put the 1-1 on the board with a raking penalty stroke. After the break, Troost gave Pinoké its fourth victory in a row. HDM suffered its fourth consecutive defeat and is already ten league games without a win.
