Nijmegen have found in Lucas Judge the successor to Rob Haantjes, who leaves as men's coach at the end of the season. Judge has signed a two-season deal with an option for a third year.

The born Australian came to the Netherlands as a player in 2004, where he played successively for EMHC and Oranje Zwart. After the Eindhoven merger, he started as head coach at the new Oranje-Rood. He also spent some time as assistant coach of Laren. In that position, he started at SCHC, under head coach Nettie van Maasakker. After her departure, Judge, seventeen-time national team player, became head coach of the Bilthoven side (2018).

With the Bilthoven squad he won the Gold Cup in 2023 and 2024 - the first two major trophies in the club's history - and the national indoor title, also in 2024. He also always participated in the play-offs with SCHC, but each time the club's first ever national title remained out of reach.
