Bloemendaal the only unbeaten team of 2024
Of all the teams currently active in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men this calendar year, Bloemendaal remained the only one without defeat. The Mussen only lost four points.
Nineteen wins and two draws in 21 league games. That is Bloemendaal's impressive record in 2024. With 59 points, the formation of coaches Rick Mathijssen and his successor Michel van den Heuvel are the best performing club in the Tulp Hoofdklasse.
The Mussen collected fourteen points more than Kampong, the runner-up in this calendar year. That team also played two more games, which only increases the difference between the two superpowers. Oranje-Rood and Rotterdam (42 points), Amsterdam and Den Bosch (40 points) complete the top six.
Rain of goals at HDM duels
Of the nine teams that played the entire calendar year at the highest level, HDM took the fewest points. The team from The Hague won only four times, played five draws and suffered 12 defeats.
HDM's 21 matches in 2024 did earn an honourable mention though: with a total of 117 goals, the Hague side's matches were the most goals. HDM itself scored 45 goals and conceded 72. In contrast, Klein Zwitserland's 20 matches produced the least goal-scoring spectacle with just 65 goals, an average of 3.25 goals per game.
