Men's Pinoké suddenly two European champions richer

In 23 days, the new Tulp Hoofdklasse season will start. A handful of facts from the transfer window, starting with Pinoké's men who suddenly have two European champions in the house.

Pinoké's German champions
With Germany's shoot-out win against the Netherlands in last Saturday's European Championship final in Mönchengladbach, Pinoké now has two European champions in the squad in one fell swoop: Teo Hinrichs and Thies Prinz. The Steekneuzen already announced the arrival of the experienced pair at the end of April. Hinrichs has played 91 international matches for Germany, scoring twice. Thies Prinz - who scored the winning shoot-out against the Dutch team - has 103 caps behind his name (21 goals).

Three new Spaniards
Spain impressed at the European Championship by taking away the bronze medal. Next season, the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men will get to see two new Spanish faces from the EC up close. First, goalkeeper Luis Calzado, who succeeds Irishman David Harte under the crossbar at Kampong. We also see Pol Cabre Verdiell at Oranje-Rood, where he should provide goals. Furthermore, Den Bosch gets Spanish reinforcement from international Eduard De Ignacio-Simó.

Fewer Belgians
Next season, the Hoofdklasse will lose two familiar faces who have been seen as strikers on Dutch fields for many years. Sebastien Dockier is leaving Pinoké to play in his homeland for Braxgata. He is joined there by Thibeau Stockbroekx, who leaves Oranje-Rood after six seasons. The departure of Dockier and Stockbroekx is offset by the arrival of the talented Arno Van Dessel (from Royal Herakles to Bloemendaal).

Makeover Schaerweijde
Of all the teams in the Tulp Hoofdklasse, Schaerweijde has secured the most new players. The team from Zeist, which secured promotion to the highest level a few months ago, has welcomed no less than eleven new players. This was much needed, as nine players also said goodbye to the team.

Quiet summer at Oosterplas
Den Bosch had the fewest changes of all twelve clubs. English midfielder Sam Spencer is the only player to leave the squad: he is transferring to HDM. This is offset by the arrival of Spanish international Eduard De Ignacio-Simó.
