Nijmegen and coach Haanjes split after just one season

After just one season, the partnership between Rob Haantjes and the Nijmegen men's side is already coming to an end. The Gelderland club indicated in a press release that Haantjes 'may be doing something completely different' in the coming years.

Nijmegen and Haantjes signed a one-season contract a year ago, as the coach did not want to look too far ahead. The Eindhoven native came over from the women of Oranje-Rood, with whom he maintained his position in the Hoofdklasse last season.

With Nijmegen - currently eleventh in the rankings - Haantjes hopes to do the same. This season, the club is playing at the highest level again for the first time since 1976-1977.
