Oranje-Rood and Schlingemann part ways after this season
Oranje-Rood and head coach Omar Schlingemann are parting ways after one season. Both parties have decided by mutual agreement to end the current two-year contract early.
After evaluation, it has been concluded that the desired click is missing to start a new season together. Club and coach speak of a cooperation based on mutual respect and wish each other success in the future.
'I wish the club and the players every success. In the coming weeks I will take the time to sort everything out and see what comes my way,' Schlingemann told the club's press release.
Oranje-Rood occupies - with one round to go - sixth place in the league table and failed to qualify for the play-offs for the national title. The Eindhoven team won only ten of their 21 games this season and have already conceded 55 goals, a rare high in club history. Only in 2020-2021 was the number of goals conceded higher than now (63 in 22 games).
