The first part of the double weekend in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men was completed on Thursday. Amsterdam went down at 't Kopje in the Classic against Bloemendaal (5-3). As a result, the national champion had to cede the lead to Oranje-Rood, which won 5-1 against Schaerweijde in Zeist.
