Amsterdam - Rotterdam 0-3
With two defeats, Amsterdam ended the double weekend. After losing last Thursday at 't Kopje against Bloemendaal (5-3), Rotterdam was too strong 3-0 at Wagener Stadium on Sunday. The Rotterdammers were particularly effective in cashing in on their chances and actually decided the match before half-time. Tjep Hoedemakers opened the scoring in the 12th minute, before Pepijn van der Heijden doubled the lead ten minutes later from a penalty corner. Shortly after, Nick van Trigt made the decision with the 0-3. For the Amsterdammers, who suffered their first home defeat, it was a disastrous double weekend in which they not only lost the lead, but also considerable ground on the league table. They dropped to sixth place. Rotterdam recorded its second win in a row and remains unbeaten in away games. Coach Erik van Driel's team is third in the Tulp Hoofdklasse.

Schaerweijde climbs to tenth place, while Laren drops to eleventh.
ORANJE-ROOD - Hurley 6-1
The battle between the leader and the straggler in the Tulp Hoofdklasse was an uneven one. Oranje-Rood won 6-1 over Hurley, thanks in part to three goals by Henrik Mertgens. The home team stormed straight out of the proverbial starting blocks with two early goals from Mertgens and Poll Cabre-Verdiell Badia within the first seven minutes. Before half-time, the Eindhoven side ran out further through another Mertgens and a penalty corner by Tijmen Reyenga. After the break, Borja Lacalle added one more before Hjalmar Voskuil added something back for Hurley via a penalty corner. Mertgens completed his hat-trick in the closing stages. It was an excellent double weekend for him with five goals in two games. Oranje-Rood remain unbeaten in the league through the win and are now thirteen matches in a row without defeat. Hurley remains scoreless after ten rounds and has been waiting for a win in the Tulp Hoofdklasse for twenty matches.

Bloemendaal ended its double weekend with six points. After the win over Amsterdam (5-3), Bloemendaal won 2-0 against Klein Zwitserland in The Hague on Sunday.
