SCHC aim for unique performance in away match with Bloemendaal

The league finally resumes in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men this weekend after a long wait. We look ahead to Saturday and Sunday's six matches using the most relevant statistics.

ROTTERDAM - ORANGE-ROOD
Saturday, 16:30

  • Rotterdam won only one of its last seven matches against Oranje-Rood (D1 L5). That was at the end of last season, when it was 2-1 for the home team in Rotterdam.
     
  • Rotterdam has been hard to beat for some time now. Last year's playoff finalist lost only one of its last 18 matches in the regular league. That series further includes 11 wins and six draws.
     
  • Oranje-Rood won its two previous matches after the team had failed to win four in a row before that (D2 L2).
     
  • Oranje-Rood is in the right-hand row this season when it comes to the standings in away games. The team from Eindhoven won only one of their six matches outside Eindhoven (D3 L2). That win was the 1-3 at promoted Nijmegen.
     
  • Matches between Rotterdam and Oranje-Rood have proven to be very goal-rich in the past. In 16 matches between the two teams, a total of 91 goals were scored, an average of 5.69 goals per match.

HURLEY - KLEIN ZWITSERLAND
Saturday, 6:30pm

  • Hurley won only two of its last 13 league matches with KZ (D1 L10).
     
  • KZ won six of the last seven away games against Hurley (L1).
     
  • Hurley closed the first half of the competition with a long-awaited win: 2-3 at SCHC. With that, the team ended a series of nine defeats in a row and a run of ten matches without a win (D1 L9).
     
  • With 53 goals against in 12 games, Hurley is the most passed team in the Hoofdklasse for the time being. 
     
  • KZ only scored nine goals in five away games this season. Only SCHC (three) and Nijmegen (five) scored less often away from home.

BLOEMENDAAL - SCHC
Sunday, 2:45pm

  • Bloemendaal have gone 21 years without defeat against SCHC (W23 D4). The Mussen last lost to SCHC on 28 March 2004: 2-1 in Bilthoven.
     
  • Bloemendaal has never lost to SCHC at home. The 29 home matches resulted in 23 wins and six draws.
     
  • In the outward match of the first half of the competition, Marc Miralles helped Bloemendaal to a 1-5 away victory with four goals. Dennis Warmerdam scored the other goal for The Mussen. Sam Figge scored on behalf of SCHC.
     
  • Bloemendaal scored 49 times in eleven matches this league. That makes coach Michel van den Heuvel's formation the most productive team this season.
     
  • SCHC has not won any of its last 35 away games in the Hoofdklasse (D4 L31). It last managed to do so against Pinoké on 8 October 2017 (0-1).

AMSTERDAM - PINOKÉ
Sunday, 2:45pm

  • Pinoké won three of the last five league matches with Amsterdam and lost the other two.
     
  • In the last thirteen duels between Amsterdam and Pinoké, at least four goals were scored each time, 83 in total. That amounts to an average of 6.38 goals per game.
     
  • Amsterdam won only one of its last five home duels with Pinoké: 3-3, 1-3. 4-4, 4-3 and 1-4. That one win dates from 2 April 2023.
     
  • Amsterdam remained unbeaten in its first nine matches this season (W5 D4), but lost two of its last three matches (W1). That happened in the away matches with Bloemendaal (4-1) and Oranje-Rood (3-2).
     
  • Pinoké won three of its last five games before the winter break, but lost the other two. The team of outgoing coach Jesse Mahieu is seventh with 14 points, seven points less than current number four Kampong.

KAMPONG - HDM
Sunday, 2:45 pm

  • The outward game before the winter break ended in a big win for the Utrechters: 0-5, including two goals by striker Finn van Bijnen.
     
  • Kampong is unbeaten against HDM since eight matches and won seven of those matches.
     
  • Kampong did not win at home more often than not this season: W2 D1 L2.
     
  • HDM won one of its last nine games (D2 L6). That happened at home against promoted Nijmegen (3-1).
     
  • HDM and Amsterdam have scored the most goals this season: 69 in twelve matches, an average of 5.75. HDM scored 26 and has so far scored 43.

DEN BOSCH - NIJMEGEN
Sunday, 16:00

  • The only mutual match in premier league history took place on 25 September 2024, when Den Bosch won easily 0-4. The goals then came from Jaïr van der Horst, Thierry Brinkman, Timo Boers and Max Kreft.
     
  • Den Bosch is already nine home matches in a row without defeat (W5 D4), but did lose points each time in its last three home appearances (2-2 Kampong, 2-2 Bloemendaal and 2-2 Oranje-Rood).
     
  • Nijmegen won one of its last 34 matches in the Hoofdklasse (D7 L26). That was the 4-1 at Hurley on 17 November 2024.
     
  • Nijmegen is already 24 away matches in a row without a win in the Hoofdklasse (D7 L17). The last time the team won outside Nijmegen was on 19 October 1975 (0-1 at Venlo).
     
  • The trio BBB (Boers, Bijen & Brinkman) accounted for 28 of the 37 Bossche goals this season. Boers made 14, Bijen and Brinkman both stand on seven goals.
