Top scorers: Duco Telgenkamp's insane weeks
In the men's league, little changed in the upper reaches of the top scorers' list this weekend. Kampong striker Duco Telgenkamp made the biggest jump in the standings: he flashed from four to eight goals.
Telgenkamp scored his first Hoofdklasse hat-trick last Thursday in the midweek game against HDM (6-1) and added one more goal to his total (eight goals) two days later in the lost away game against Den Bosch (4-1).
Telgenkamp scored all his eight goals from open play. Of all players this season, only Oranje-Rood attacker Struan Walker scored so many field goals. In numerical terms, the last few weeks have been great for Telgenkamp. Since the beginning of October, he scored 11 goals in seven official matches (Hoofdklasse and EHL), adding four assists.

Tulp Hoofdklasse Women
None of the four highest-ranked players scored in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women last weekend. SCHC midfielder Yibbi Jansen did score: she made the important 2-2 in the top match against Amsterdam. The penalty corner specialist has now joined the top of the top scorer standings with her seventh goal of the season.
Just behind Jansen, Den Bosch attacker Frédérique Matla also did impressed. She contributed with one goal to her team's narrow 2-1 victory over HDM. Matla now stands at six goals this season. That brings her total in the Hoofdklasse to 197, so she might manage to reach the magic limit of two hundred league goals before the winter break.
