Den Bosch-Bloemendaal undecided, defeat Oranje-Rood
The top match in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men ended undecided. At the Oosterplas, Den Bosch and Bloemendaal played a 2-2 draw on Saturday evening. Oranje-Rood suffered a 1-0 defeat against Klein Zwitserland in The Hague.
DEN BOSCH - BLOEMENDAAL 2-2
The top match at the Oosterplas seemed to fall in Den Bosch's favour, but a minute before the end of the match Nathan Ephraums prevented a defeat for Bloemendaal, who did lose points for the first time this season due to the draw. Den Bosch took the lead in the second quarter thanks to Timo Boers' tenth goal of the season. Even before half-time, Bloemendaal equalised. Marc Miralles, like Boers, pushed from a penalty corner. It was his eleventh goal for the Spaniard. Koen Bijen seemed to give Den Bosch victory in the fourth quarter, but Ephraums averted the first defeat in almost a year for Bloemendaal. Both teams retained their unbeaten status with the point. Den Bosch is already unbeaten for 10 league games. Bloemendaal's series therefore already lasts a little longer: 22 matches.
KLEIN ZWITSERLAND - ORANJE-ROOD 1-0
Upon returning to The Hague, OR coach Omar Schlingemann was treated to a 1-0 defeat by his old team. The only goal came courtesy of Chad Futcher from a penalty corner. For Klein Zwitserland, it was the third league win in a row and only the second victory over Oranje-Rood in twelve premier league games. The Eindhoven team suffered its second defeat in a row and lost eight points in the last three matches. Particularly outside Eindhoven, Oranje-Rood is performing poorly. Five away matches have so far yielded only one victory.
