Tulp HK Men: here's what you need to know about match round 5
Round 5 is on the programme in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men. It could be a special weekend for Amsterdam attacker Boris Burkhardt, who could reach the milestone of 100 goals in the Hoofdklasse. Read all about the six matches here.

What the stats say
- Schaerweijde has never won against HDM in the Hoofdklasse. Eight matches resulted in one draw and seven defeats.
- Schaerweijde lost its last eight games at the highest level since a 1-1 at home against Laren on 13 April 2024.
- A total of 33 goals fell in Schaerweijde's last five matches, an average of 6.6 goals per match.
- HDM recorded its first win of this league last week against Laren (3-2), after three defeats in a row from the league start.

What the stats say
- Den Bosch remained unbeaten in their last five league matches with Pinoké: W D W W W.
- On 11 September 2022, Den Bosch last suffered a defeat against the Steekneuzen: 4-3 in Amstelveen.
- Pinoké is the proud leader in the Hoofdklasse after four rounds of play (ten points, W3 D1) and, together with Rotterdam, Oranje-Rood, Klein Zwitserland and Amsterdam, is the only one still unbeaten this season.
- Den Bosch already scored 14 goals in the first four matches of the season, including eight in the away match against Amsterdam on 21 September (8-6 loss) alone.

What the stats say
- Bloemendaal has been unbeaten in the regular league for 12 games in a row against Kampong (W9 D3) since a 1-2 defeat at 't Kopje on 17 March 2019.
- The last edition of this top match in the regular league ended in a spectacular 4-4. Before that, Bloemendaal recorded five wins in a row over the Utrecht rival.
- Kampong won only one of the last 16 matches between them with Bloemendaal in the regular league (the 1-2 of 17 March 2019). For the rest: five draws and 10 defeats.

What the stats say
- Klein Zwitserland could only win twice in the Hoofdklasse in 13 matches against Oranje-Rood (D2 L9).
- It last happened in the first of the two matches between them last season: 1-0 in The Hague through a goal by Chad Futcher from a penalty corner.
- KZ is experiencing its best league start since the 1997-1998 season. That was when the team last remained unbeaten in its first four matches of the season. The team then only suffered its first defeat on the seventh round (D D D D W W).
- A win over KZ will see Oranje-Rood realise its best league start after the first five games with four wins and a draw.
- Oranje-Rood's new addition Struan Walker is proving to be a shot in the arm for now. He already scored five times in his first four matches. Only Boris Burkhardt (Amsterdam) scored more goals this season (eight).
AMSTERDAM - LAREN

What the stats say
- Amsterdam won its last eight matches with Laren since a 2-1 away defeat on 6 March 2011.
- Amsterdam won 16 of its last 19 games against Laren and lost the other three.
- Amsterdam is one of five teams still unbeaten this season. Coach Rick Mathijssen's team did lose four points already (W2 D2).
- Laren (tenth in the rankings) is still scoreless this season, together with Hurley and straggler Schaerweijde.
- Laren is involuntarily building a series of defeats: the last five matches at the highest level went down the drain.
- Amsterdam attacker Boris Burkhardt is still two goals away from his 100th goal in the Hoofdklasse. He scored his current 98 goals all in service to Amsterdam.

What the stats say
- Rotterdam won nine of its last 10 matches against Hurley and drew once (on 6 March 2022, 2-2).
- Last season, Rotterdam won both matches with Hurley by resounding figures: 8-3 in Rotterdam and 0-10 in Amstelveen.
- Hurley last won against Rotterdam in the Hoofdklasse ten years ago - on 27 September 2015, to be precise. It was 5-2 in Amstelveen that day, thanks in part to a hat-trick by Victor Plat.
- Rotterdam scored 24 goals in its last four home matches in the Hoofdklasse: 8-4 Nijmegen, 5-0 KZ, 4-2 Bloemendaal and 7-2 HDM.
- Hurley has been waiting 14 matches for a win in the Hoofdklasse (D2 L12). The last time it succeeded was 11 months ago, on 23 November 2024: 2-3 at SCHC.
- Hurley failed to score in its last two matches. If it fails against Rotterdam as well, the team will match a negative club record. In 1999, 2001 and 2020, the team failed to score a goal in three consecutive matches.
