Rotterdam yearns for win in top match against Bloemendaal

In the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men, we are up to round 16. Rotterdam play the top match against Bloemendaal, while attackers Jelle Galema and Miles Bukkens can celebrate an anniversary. Time for the stats.

KAMPONG - HURLEY
Saturday, 4:30pm

  • Kampong won the last eight meetings with Hurley since a 1-1 in Amstelveen on 30 October 2016.
  • Hurley last won on Kampong's pitch on 11 September 2011. It finished 3-6 that day, helped by two goals from both Pieter Manden and Janiek Braaksma.
  • Kampong scored 12 goals in its last two league duels with Hurley: 0-4 and 8-0.
  • Hurley picked up one point from its first three matches of 2025: it happened on a visit to HDM (1-1). The team further lost at home to KZ (0-2) and to Rotterdam (0-10).
  • Kampong defender Jip Janssen stands at 144 goals in the Hoofdklasse and is thus six goals away from an anniversary.

ROTTERDAM - BLOEMENDAAL

  • Rotterdam lost four of the last five regular league matches with Bloemendaal (W1).
     
  • Rotterdam won only one of the last 10 league matches with Bloemendaal (D3 L6).
     
  • The last three editions of Rotterdam-Bloemendaal were very goal-rich with a total of 19 goals: eight by the home team and 11 by the Mussen.
     
  • Bloemendaal have scored at least two goals in a row for 29 games, a series that began on 12 November 2023. In total, The Mussen scored 115 goals in that series, an average of almost four goals per match.
     
  • Rotterdam attacker Jeroen Hertzberger is still ten goals away from the 600th official goal in his career. The breakdown of his current 590 goals is as follows: 442 for Rotterdam (all leagues), 21 on foreign service and 127 on behalf of the Oranje.

HDM - DEN BOSCH

  • Den Bosch won the last four matches between them with HDM since a 3-1 defeat in The Hague on November 6, 2022.
     
  • An edition of HDM-Den Bosch has never ended in a draw: six wins for HDM, eight for Den Bosch.
     
  • HDM is seven games in a row without a win since the 3-1 home victory over Nijmegen on 26 October 2024.
     
  • Den Bosch qualified for the Gold Cup final last Thursday for the third time in history thanks to a monster victory over promotion class Schaerweijde (8-1).
     
  • Den Bosch only conceded nine goals in seven away games this season, the fewest of any club.

KLEIN ZWITSERLAND - AMSTERDAM

  • The last three matches between them resulted in a win for Amsterdam, one for KZ and a draw.
  • KZ lost its last three home games against Amsterdam since a 1-1 on 13 September 2020: 0-1, 2-4 and 0-1.
  • KZ's last home win over Amsterdam was from 25 February 2007: 3-1, including through two goals by Australian Grant Schubert.
  • Amsterdam has already scored 57 goals in 15 matches. Only leader Bloemendaal is more productive (sixty goals).
  • Floris Middendorp delivered a hat-trick of assists last weekend against SCHC. The Amsterdam midfielder is only the second player this season after Kampong midfielder Derck de Vilder to provide three assists in one game. De Vilder did so on 9 November against Nijmegen (8-0 win).

ORANJE-ROOD - NIJMEGEN

  • The only match between them was the 1-3 in Nijmegen from the first league half. Max de Bie, Arthur De Sloover and Jelle Galema then scored for the Eindhoven side. Jake Whetton scored against.
  • Oranje-Rood scored 42 goals in 15 matches, an average of 2.8 goals per match. That number is already more than in each of the previous three full seasons: 39, 25 and 34 goals against.
  • Nijmegen lost its last four matches, conceding 22 goals and scoring only two themselves.
  • Nijmegen has already scored 62 goals in 15 matches. Only Hurley defends less well (66 goals against).
  • Oranje-Rood striker Jelle Galema has scored 99 goals in the Hoofdklasse and is one goal away from an anniversary goal.

SCHC - PINOKÉ

  • Pinoké are unbeaten for six games against SCHC (W D W W W D). 
     
  • Pinoké lost only two of its last 17 matches with SCHC (W10 D5).
     
  • SCHC started 2025 with a thunderous win at Bloemendaal (3-4) and a draw against Den Bosch (1-1), but had to swallow a tough defeat at Amsterdam last week (7-0).
     
  • Pinoké lost six of its last eight league appearances, winning only against tail sides Hurley (0-7) and Nijmegen (8-1) in that series.
     
  • Pinoké striker Miles Bukkens is two goals away from scoring his 50th goal in the Hoofdklasse. He scored his 48 league goals in five seasons: 5 in 2020-21, 8 in 2021-22, 12 in 2022-23, 1 in 2023-24 and 22 in this season.
