Another goal-fest at Oosterplas this Sunday?

In the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men, we get ready for round 17. With Bloemendaal-Kampong, Den Bosch-Rotterdam and Nijmegen-SCHC, three crucial matches are on the menu. Here are the facts and numbers.
BLOEMENDAAL - KAMPONG
Saturday, 4:30pm
- Bloemendaal remained unbeaten (W9 D2) in its last 11 regular league matches with Kampong since a 1-2 home defeat on March 17, 2019.
- The balance in the last 10 editions of Bloemendaal-Kampong is neatly balanced: four wins for both teams and two draws.
- Bloemendaal lost three of its last five matches in the Hoofdklasse and won the other two.
- Kampong won its last two matches and lost only one of its eight most recent matches in the Hoofdklasse (W6 D1): 2-1 at Rotterdam on March 9.
- Kampong striker Duco Telgenkamp is slowly picking up steam this season. After his two goals against Hurley, the counter stands at five goals for him. Telgenkamp is on 32 goals in the Hoofdklasse (all for Kampong), but never scored against Bloemendaal.
PINOKÉ - LITTLE SWITZERLAND

- Pinoké won the last three games against KZ and are unbeaten against the Hague team (D D D W W W) for six games.
- Pinoké's last defeat against KZ dates from 3 October 2021: 3-1 in The Hague through goals by Tim Brand, Aki Käppeler and Camil Papa. Niklas Wellen scored against on behalf of the Steekneuzen.
- The last four editions of Pinoké-KZ were goal-rich, with a total of 22 goals (5.5 goals per match on average). It was successively 4-2, 3-3, 2-2 and 4-2.
- KZ is the least scoring team in the Hoofdklasse after Hurley (18 goals) and Nijmegen (21 goals) (24 goals in 16 matches).
- Pinoké striker Bukkens is one goal away from scoring his fiftieth goal in the Hoofdklasse. He scored his 49 league goals in five seasons: 5 in 2020-21, 8 in 2021-22, 12 in 2022-23, 1 in 2023-24 and 23 in this season.
HURLEY - ORANGE-ROOD

- Hurley never picked up a point against Oranje-Rood in the Hoofdklasse: eight games ended in eight defeats.
- Hurley won one of its last 15 matches in the Hoofdklasse (D2 L12): the 2-3 at SCHC on 23 November 2024.
- Oranje-Rood's six most recent matches saw a total of 43 goals: 6-4 HDM (t), 3-2 Amsterdam (t), 4-3 Rotterdam (u), 4-3 Pinoké (t), 4-1 Kampong (u) and 5-4 Nijmegen (t).
- Oranje-Rood's four matches after the winter break accounted for 28 goals, an average of seven goals per match.
- Thibeau Stockbroekx is the MVP of Oranje-Rood this season: he was directly involved in 16 goals for the Eindhoven side (ten goals, six assists).
AMSTERDAM - HDM

- Amsterdam is already 11 games in a row without defeat against HDM (W9 D2) since a 4-3 loss in The Hague on March 4, 2001.
- HDM is eight games in a row without a win (D3 L5) since the 3-1 home win over Nijmegen on 26 October 2024.
- Amsterdam remained unbeaten in its last nine home matches: W W D D D W W W W. Amsterdam's last home defeat was the 0-1 against Kampong of 21 April 2024.
- Chris Taberima is single-handedly responsible for almost half of all HDM goals this season: 13 out of 28.
- Boris Burkhardt currently leads the list in the assist rankings. The Amsterdam striker has already prepared seven goals for teammates this season.
DEN BOSCH- ROTTERDAM

- Den Bosch won the outward match in the first league half 3-4, ending a series of four league defeats in a row against the Rotterdammers.
- In the last seven matches between the two clubs, 48 goals were scored, an average of 6.86 goals per match.
- Den Bosch has been waiting for a win against Rotterdam for five home matches in a row: it was 2-3, 1-2, 2-2, 4-5 and 3-7 successively at the Oosterplas.
- Nineteen goals fell in the last two editions of Den Bosch-Rotterdam: seven for the home team and 12 from the visitors.
- Timo Boers is currently the most prolific player in Dutch hockey. The Den Bosch defender has already scored 31 goals at club level this season: eighteen in the Hoofdklasse and thirteen in the cup tournament.
NIJMEGEN - SCHC

- Nijmegen and SCHC face each other for the first time in the Hoofdklasse in Nijmegen.
- With a win over SCHC, Nijmegen will hand over the last place in the league table to the team from Bilthoven. The gap between the two teams is now two points: SCHC has seven, Nijmegen five.
- Nijmegen lost its last five matches, conceding 27 goals and scoring six of its own.
- SCHC lost five of its last seven matches in the Hoofdklasse (W1 D1).
- SCHC is the least scoring away team in the Hoofdklasse this season: seven goals in seven matches. The team got 24 on foreign soil. SCHC did not score in three of the seven away games.
