Two glorious top matches in the battle for the play-offs

In the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men, we get ready for round 18 of play. With Kampong-Den Bosch and Rotterdam-Amsterdam, two top matches are on the menu. Here are the stats.
KAMPONG - DEN BOSCH
Saturday, 4:30pm
- Forest's wins over Kampong have been particularly scarce in recent years. The team won only three of the last 24 underdogs with the Utrechters (D4 L17).
- In Utrecht, Kampong won six of the last seven matches with Den Bosch (L1, 1-2 on 27 March 2022).
- Kampong is three matches in a row unbeaten (WWD) since the 2-1 defeat at Rotterdam on 9 March.
- Den Bosch is on a strong series in the Hoofdklasse: the team won five of its last six games, losing points only at SCHC (1-1).
- Den Bosch has already scored 85 goals in 22 official matches this season: 50 in the Hoofdklasse and 35 in the cup tournament.
HDM - PINOKÉ
Saturday, 6:30pm
- Pinoké remained unbeaten in its last five matches against HDM: W W D W.
- Pinoké lost only one of its last nine league matches with HDM (W7 D1) and lost only two of its last 13 matches with the Hague team (W10 G1).
- HDM lost its last three matches in the Hoofdklasse and is winless since nine games (D3 L6).
- Pinoké won its last three matches, scoring seventeen goals: 8-1 against Nijmegen, 2-4 at SCHC and 5-2 against Klein Zwitserland.
- Pinoké striker Joep Troost can call himself top scorer in the Hoofdklasse after the winter break. The Pinoké striker has already scored nine goals in the four rounds of 2025.
KLEIN ZWITSERLAND - NIJMEGEN

- Klein Zwitserland won all seven of their mutual matches in the Hoofdklasse against Nijmegen.
- Nijmegen failed to score in four of those seven matches.
- Klein Zwitserland started 2025 with two wins, but then lost three in a row: 3-1 Den Bosch, 1-3 Amsterdam and 5-2 Pinoké.
- KZ's matches have the fewest goals this season: 64 in seventeen matches, an average of 3.76 goals per match. All other teams average at least four goals per match.
- Nijmegen has scored at least three goals each in its last six games (thirty in total): 8 - 3 - 3 - 8 - 4 - 4.
ORANJE-ROOD - SCHC

- Oranje-Rood has never lost to SCHC in the Hoofdklasse: the Eindhoveners won their first five matches with the team from Bilthoven and then drew twice.
- Oranje-Rood's three home games against SCHC all ended in victory: 6-1, 3-2 and 4-1.
- SCHC remained unbeaten in three of its five matches after the winter break (W2 D1 L2).
- SCHC is in ninth place after last week's 0-4 win over Nijmegen, outside the danger zone. The team from Bilthoven has as many points as number ten HDM (ten) and two points ahead of Hurley.
- Oranje-Rood's club top scorer Thibeau Stockbroekx (twelve goals) needs one more goal for his fiftieth goal in the Hoofdklasse.
HURLEY - BLOEMENDAAL

- Bloemendaal won its last 10 matches with Hurley since a 1-1 at 't Kopje on 11 October 2015.
- Bloemendaal remained unbeaten in its last 25 matches with Hurley, winning 23 times (D2) in that series.
- The last time Hurley could win from Bloemendaal was on 6 May 2001. It was 3-0 in Amstelveen that day through three goals by Lars Stalling.
- Bloemendaal has won two of its six matches since the winter break (D1 L3).
- Hurley is the least scoring home team in the Hoofdklasse this season, with three goals in eight home matches.
ROTTERDAM - AMSTERDAM

- Amsterdam could not win three matches in a row against Rotterdam (L L D) since a 2-6 win in Rotterdam on 13 May 2023.
- Amsterdam won only one of its last five league matches with Rotterdam (L W L L D): that was that 2-6 of 13 May 2023.
- The last four editions of Rotterdam-Amsterdam produced 31 (!) goals, an average of 7.75 goals per match.
- Rotterdam won its last five home games since a 3-4 defeat against Den Bosch on 12 October 2024.
- Amsterdam won eight of its last 10 games, losing only to Bloemendaal (4-1) and, consequently, Oranje-Rood (3-2).
