Boers and Matla have once again claimed the top scorer title

On the final match round of the regular league, Frédérique Matla definitely distanced herself from her SCHC competitors Yibbi Jansen and Jip Dicke. The Den Bosch striker scored a hat-trick in the away match against Oranje-Rood (0-6), finishing on 24 goals. That's two more than Jansen and four more than Dicke.

With those 24 goals, Matla can call herself the most prolific player of a premier league season for the sixth time in her career. In the history of the women's top competition, only former Den Bosch player Maartje Paumen conquered more (nine).

Yibbi Jansen did become the player with the most goals from penalty corners for the third season in a row: she shot nineteen times from head of circle. Her teammate Jip Dicke can call herself the player with most field goals. The attacker scored seventeen times this league, five more times than Den Bosch attacker Joosje Burg.

In the men's side, Timo Boers lifted his final production to 31 goals via a hit penalty stroke in the final game against HDM (3-3). His direct competitors remained quiet: Oranje-Rood attacker Struan Walker was spared with minor ankle problems and Pinoké striker Joep Troost failed to score in the home game with Bloemendaal (1-1).

Boers maintained a great series against HDM last Saturday: the 22-year-old defender scored in all (!) ten match rounds of 2026. Among other things, he made four hat-tricks and scored 19 times in that series. Last season, Boers captured the top scorer title for the first time. Back then, 28 goals were enough for the honorary title, narrowly beating Boris Burkhardt (Amsterdam) and Miles Bukkens (Pinoké).

Struan Walker and Kampong striker Duco Telgenkamp were the players with the most field goals (15 each) this regular league. Boers shot the most often from head of circle and also used the most penalty strokes of all players (six).
