Pinoké's men must look for a new coach. Jesse Mahieu has announced that he is quitting the Steekneuzen at the end of the season.

Mahieu, a former Dutch national (50 caps) and former player of the Steekneuzen, was at the helm of Pinoké men's team from 2017, after serving as an assistant for four years. In 2018, the team struggled against relegation with Mahieu as coach, but then started on the way up.

In 2022, Pinoké qualified for the play-offs for the national title for the first time in history. They reached the final, but lost against Bloemendaal. A year later, in 2023, the national title was won, at the expense of defending champion Bloemendaal.

Last season, European success also followed with the win of the EHL. The play-offs for the national title were not reached. This season, participation in the play-offs will be quite a task for Pinoké. After twelve games the team is in seventh place with fourteen points, seven points away from a spot that entitles them to play for the titel after the regular season.
