Daan Sabel and ladies Pinoké part ways after this season
Daan Sabel will quit as coach of the Pinoké ladies after this season. The 39-year-old Sabel has been associated with the club from the Amsterdamse Bos for nine years, the last seven of which as head coach. This makes him one of the longest-serving coaches in the Tulp Hoofdklasse.
Under his leadership, the Steekneuzen promoted to the Tulp Hoofdklasse in 2018, both on the field and indoor. Several successes followed. In 2023, the team captured the national indoor title and a year later, Pinoké won the European B-division. Last season, the team finished third in the Tulp Hoofdklasse and reached the playoffs, losing to SCHC in the semi-finals.
It is still unclear what Sabel's next step will be. He reveals in the press release that he has no concrete plans for his future yet.
