Den Bosch wins spectacle at Amsterdam in semi-final
Sat 17 May 15:00
Women 2 - 3

Den Bosch recorded an important away win in the battle for a spot in the final of the playoffs. Coach Marieke Dijkstra's team beat Amsterdam 3-2 in an entertaining first match of the semi-finals.
Maartje Krekelaar opened the score for the Brabant frontrunner as early as the second minute, on a pass from Charlotte Englebert. Amsterdam, ranked number four, answered quickly through Alessia Norbiato and then even took the lead thanks to a subtle tap by Maria Verschoor from a penalty corner. For the experienced midfielder, who will leave for Spain next summer, it was possibly her last home game in Amsterdam jersey.
Den Bosch put things in order after half-time. Sanne Koolen restored the balance from a penalty corner, after which Frédérique Matla scored the winning goal (2-3) with a cold-blooded move.
It was already the twentieth goal in the play-off history of the Bosch striker, ahead of only Maartje Paumen (36) and Mijntje Donners (28).
On Sunday, Den Bosch gets the chance to finish the job at home and reach the final of the play-offs for the 26th time in 28 participations.
