Den Bosch wins top match, SCHC beats Kampong
Den Bosch women won the top match against Amsterdam in the thirteenth and final round of play before the winter break. At the Oosterplas it ended 1-0. SCHC won with the same figures against Kampong in Utrecht on Saturday.
DEN BOSCH - AMSTERDAM 1-0
Just like in the first match betwee these teams this season, Sanne Koolen scored the winning goal from a penalty corner. Her fourth goal of the season marked Den Bosch's thirteenth win in as many league games. Coach Marieke Dijkstra's team thus continues its record series. Den Bosch is now 54 premier league games unbeaten. Amsterdam suffered its second defeat of the season. This ended a series of ten matches in which coach Teun de Nooijer's team did not lose. In the last five league games, however, Amsterdam lost by as many as nine points.
KAMPONG - SCHC 0-1
The match at the Klapperboom was decided by a goal from Jip Dicke. The striker reacted attentively to a rebound after Yibbi Jansen had flicked the ball against the post from a penalty corner. It was the tenth goal of the season for Dicke. In doing so, she gave her team its fourth win in a row. Moreover, SCHC did not concede a goal for the fourth time in a row. With the defeat, Kampong saw its run of four unbeaten matches come to an end. It was the first defeat for coach Kai de Jager's team since 20 October, when they lost 2-1 to Den Bosch.
