Crazy November helps Bukkens reach milestone
Nobody scored as many goals in the Tulp Hoofdklasse in the month of November as Miles Bukkens. The flood of goals meant the Pinoké striker ended the calendar year with a milestone.
Bukkens scored as many as eight goals during the past four rounds of play in the month of November, more than any other player in the Tulp Hoofdklasse. The 21-year-old striker failed to score in the home game against Kampong (1-2 defeat) at the beginning of November, but then scored multiple times away to Hurley (0-7, five goals), hit the target against Bloemendaal (2-3 defeat, one goal) and was successful against Den Bosch (2-4 defeat, two goals).
Admittedly, the four matches in November yielded only three points for Pinoké, but individually, Bukkens has little to blame himself for. The goal explosion means he has now equalled Hoofdklasse top goalscorer Boris Burkhardt (Amsterdam). Both attackers lead the top scorer list after 12 rounds with 17 goals.
Milestone goal
Bukkens' most recent goal, the magnificent 2-2 with a flaming backhand shot in the home game against Den Bosch, had a special touch for him. It was his 50th official goal in Pinoké's first team. Since his debut in the 2020-2021 season, he made 43 goals in the Tulp Hoofdklasse, two in the play-offs and five in the Euro Hockey League.
