On the third round of the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women, Oranje-Rood took their first points of the season by beating Tilburg (0-1) in the Brabant derby. Kampong was too strong for Amsterdam 3-2 at Wagener Stadium on Thursday night and SCHC was on fire against Rotterdam at home (8-0).

Amsterdam - Kampong 2-3
The match at Wagener Stadium started 15 minutes later due to a lighting malfunction. For the home team, that turned out to be a bad omen. Amsterdam suffered its first defeat of the season. Kampong took home the points thanks to a 3-2 victory. Twice Amsterdam, which saw Chinese recruit Li Hong make her first minutes, managed to reverse a deficit, but Noor van den Nieuwenhof's penalty stroke was decisive. For Amsterdam, it was the fifth time in a row that they failed to win against Kampong and the eighth time a top match failed to yield a win at home.

Tilburg - Oranje-Rood 0-1
In the Brabant derby, the points went with them to Eindhoven. The match was decided two minutes before time via a penalty corner. It was Charlotte Schrijvers who gave the decisive touch. It meant the first goal and the first points of the season for Oranje-Rood, after two defeats. Tilburg remains scoreless and without goals. It was also the eighth defeat in the last ten premier league games.

Pinoké - HDM 1-2
Pinoké's start to the season has been rough. The second home match of the season also ended in defeat. HDM was too strong 2-1 at the Amsterdamse Bos. The winning goal came from a penalty stroke. Belén van den Broek left goalkeeper Kiki Gunneman hopeless. It was only HDM's third win over Pinoké in the last 14 matches. The win lifted HDM to fourth place in the rankings. Pinoké is tenth after three games with one point.

SCHC - Rotterdam 8-0
At SCHC, Yibbi Jansen returned to the squad and immediately proved her worth. She scored 1-0 and 2-0 from two penalty corners, her first goals of the season. After half-time, Jansen did not return within the lines. At that point, Maud van den Heuvel had already lifted the score to 3-0. In the second half, SCHC thundered on to a convincing 8-0 victory. With that, Robbert van de Peppel's team remains clear after three matches and SCHC is in the lead. Rotterdam is the new straggler after its third defeat in a row. Moreover, coach Jorge Nolte's team failed to score again. It is the first time Rotterdam did not score in the first three league matches of a season.

HGC - Den Bosch 1-4
In Wassenaar, Den Bosch washed away last weekend's 2-1 defeat against Amsterdam. After a disallowed goal by Maartje Krekelaar, Lieve Wijckmans put her team ahead after all. Elke Brinkman-Boers doubled the margin against her old club, before Mikki Rollaart brought the tension back at the Roggewoning. Joosje Burg secured the Bossche victory with two goals. With that, coach Marieke Dijkstra's team is already 26 matches unbeaten against HGC. Moreover, the Bossche formation moved up to third place in the league table. HGC remains eighth.

Bloemendaal - Hurley 1-1
Promoted Bloemendaal retains its unbeaten status in the Tulp Hoofdklasse. At 't Kopje, coach Andre Morees' team shared the points with Hurley. It ended 1-1. The score was opened by the home team through Demi Hilterman. The hit penalty corner was her 49th major league goal. Fleur Loomans equalised after half-time for Hurley, which remained unbeaten for the eighth time in a row against Bloemendaal.
