Rotterdam ladies caused a surprise in the Tulp Hoofdklasse on Sunday. Coach Jorge Nolte's team cleverly held national champions Den Bosch to 0-0 to take an unexpected point. At Amsterdamse Bos, Kampong dropped points against Pinoké (1-1), allowing Amsterdam to pass the Utrecht team on the league table thanks to a convincing 8-1 win over HGC. Amsterdam is now second, behind leader SCHC, which remains unbeaten after a convincing 5-0 win over straggler Oranje-Rood.

Rotterdam - Den Bosch 0-0
The league is still going badly for Den Bosch. The national champions lost as many as 10 points in their last six matches and are in fifth place in the Tulp Hoofdklasse. Home team Rotterdam ended a run of 15 consecutive defeats against Den Bosch with the scoreless draw, which saw a goal by Joosje Burg disallowed for stick holding. It was the first time in three years that Den Bosch failed to score in a premier league match. That last time was on 18 September 2022 when it lost 2-0 to Amsterdam. Rotterdam picked up seven points from their last three matches. Coach Jorge Nolte's team is tenth.

Pinoké - Kampong 1-1
At Amsterdamse Bos, Pinoké and Kampong shared the points. The 1-1 was already the fifth point draw between the two clubs in their last six meetings between them. Both goals fell from penalty corners before half-time. After seven minutes, Pam van der Laan flattered the 1-0 through a defensive stick. Just before half-time, Kampong equalised through Guusje Moes who reacted attentively to a rebound. Kampong, which took a point from its last two matches, dropped to third place in the league table. Pinoké won one spot and is the new number seven.

HGC - Amsterdam 1-8
Amsterdam made short work of HGC in Wassenaar. For the third time in a row, coach Jesse Mahieu's team scored at least six goals in an away match. The 8-1 victory earned Amsterdam second place, four points behind leader SCHC. Imke Verstraeten and Freeke Moes each scored two goals for Amsterdam, which quickly ran away from HGC after half-time with five goals within seven minutes. Club top scorer Trijntje Beljaars was also prolific. She already scored her eighth goal of the season. Amsterdam is still unbeaten in away games and recorded its seventh consecutive win over HGC. Coach Bas Bogaard's team dropped to ninth place. Mikki Roolaart's goal was her fifth in seven league matches. With that number, she is HGC's club top scorer.

Hurley - HDM 5-1
Hurley ended the negative run the team was in. The 5-1 win ended a run of three defeats in a row. Fleur Loomans' opening goal after three minutes meant Hurley scored again for the first time in four games. After Belén van den Broek's equaliser from a penalty stroke, Hurley quickly made up the difference. Former HDM player Margot van Hecking Colenbrander put Hurley ahead from a penalty corner rebound and two minutes later Teuntje Horn put the 3-1 on the scoreboard. That did not satisfy the hunger for goals. A hit backhand by Olivia Huisman and Suus Meininger's first major league goal completed the party at the Amsterdam Forest. The fourth consecutive win over HDM sees Hurley climb from 11th to eighth place. HDM remains sixth.

SCHC - Oranje-Rood 5-0
Leaders SCHC had no problems with straggler Oranje-Rood at home. In Bilthoven, coach Robbert van de Peppel's team won 5-0. Mette Winter got off to a flying start with two goals. Before half-time, Jip Dicke made it 3-0 with her seventh goal of the season. After the break, SCHC ran out through goals by Xan de Waard and Yibbi Jansen. SCHC, which is now 21 league games unbeaten, including 11 on its own field, won 11 of its last 12 matches. Striker Oranje-Rood remains stuck with four points from seven games and failed to score for the fifth time.
