Hurley's men's side have captured their first point of the season. A last-minute 3-3 draw at home on Saturday in the bottom table cracker against Laren. Hjalmar Voskuil prevented the eleventh defeat in a row for the last placed in the Tulp Hoofdklasse in the final minute. In the ladies' side, Rotterdam recorded a 2-1 victory on a visit to ailing Tilburg.

Hurley - Laren 3-3
A spectacular draw at the bottom of the Tulp Hoofdklasse where straggler Hurley finally grabbed its first point of the season. Hjalmar Voskuil became the hero of the home team by scoring the equaliser in the final minute with a racy penalty corner against Laren, who had come back strongly after trailing 0-2. Hurley started strongly in the Amsterdamse Bos and took the lead through a goal by Imko de Vries just before the end of the first quarter. Voskuil doubled the score six minutes later from a penalty corner. However, Laren came out of the dressing room furiously after half-time and Joep Hagendoorn brought the tension back. The visitors pressed on and equalised through Valentijn Charbon, before the returning Kenny Bain, who had actually quit top hockey, even put Laren ahead. The Scot seemed to become the hero of the Gooi side, but corner specialist Voskuil, responsible for six of Hurley's 10 goals of the season, prevented the eleventh defeat in a row in the last minute. Hurley does continue to wait for its first win after 21 matches without a victory in the Tulp Hoofdklasse.

Tilburg - Rotterdam 1-2
Rotterdam is in a good phase of the league. Coach Jorge Nolte's team recorded its second win in a row and is five of the last six league games without defeat. Home team Tilburg took the lead in the second quarter through Carmen Victoria. Six minutes later, Rotterdam equalised through a penalty corner by Emma van Santbrink. The decision in the match fell in the 41st minute. Jaidy Greebe made it 2-1 for the visitors. For Tilburg, problems are piling up with the fourth defeat in a row and the ninth loss in the last 11 league games.
