Hurley sign Fiona Morgenstern from Amsterdam
Hurley has secured the arrival of Fiona Morgenstern for next season. The 29-year-old attacker makes the switch from Amsterdam, where she is in her third season.
Morgenstern made her debut in the Hoofdklasse in season 2014-2015 on behalf of Oranje Zwart. Via merger club Oranje-Rood, she transferred to Amsterdam in the summer of 2022. During that period, she also made her debut for the Oranje Dames, for which she played eight international matches and scored twice.
'We are proud that a good player like Fiona with her track record chooses Hurley and thus wants to contribute to realising the ambitions at Hurley,' said Hanna Kernkamp, Hurley's Top Hockey board member in a press release.
Albert Kees Manenschijn, Hurley's new head coach next season, is also looking forward to working with Morgenstern. 'Fiona's technical-tactical qualities are widely known and I expect these, combined with her experience and mentality, to be a reinforcement for the team.'
