Hurley sign experienced Manenschijn as new coach
Hurley women will get Albert-Kees Manenschijn as their new coach next season. The 57-year-old coach has been appointed to succeed Robbert van de Peppel, who is leaving for SCHC.
Manenschijn is currently still trainer/coach of Schaerweijde's men's team, who play in the Promotieklasse. He completes a circle with his return to Hurley. At the Amstelveen club, Manenschijn took his first steps on the hockey field as a ten-year-old boy and also started his coaching career.
With Manenschijn's arrival, Hurley has nothing to complain about in terms of experience. In the recent past, he was head coach of the Rotterdam men's team and assistant coach of the Dutch women's team. He also worked for Qui Vive, SCHC and the Chinese national women's team.
New recruit under the crossbar
Hurley also announces a transfer. Next season, Livia Otto will make the switch to the main squad. The young goalkeeper, who transferred from HIC two years ago, currently plays for Hurley MO18-1 and is considered a very talented closing post.
