Yibbi Jansen reaches 150-goal mark in the Hoofdklasse

Jansen levelled the score at Oosterplas in the 53rd minute with a well-aimed penalty corner, marking her anniversary goal. The 25-year-old Oranje international has been one of the most prolific players in the Netherlands for years and continues to underline her status as a goal-scoring machine.

Jansen, a former Den Bosch player, scored her 150 goals in the service of two clubs. Between 2016 and 2019, she scored 40 times for Oranje-Rood and since the summer of 2019, 110 league goals at SCHC are to her name.

Hurley favourite opponent
Taking a closer look at her 150 goals, it turns out that she scored most often against Hurley. The club from the Amsterdam Forest had to cope with nineteen goals from Jansen, more than any other club. Pinoké (seventeen goals) and Kampong (fourteen) are two other willing victims of Jansen's cannonballs.

Often important goals
Jansen not only scores often and a lot, but also often strikes with her goals at important moments. With more than one third of her 150 goals (54), she put her team ahead in a game. Furthermore - as on Sunday against Den Bosch - she levelled the score 17 times and lifted the margin to two with 23 of her goals. Only 31 hits are statistically less valuable.

Status of tormentor confirmed
As we reported before the weekend, Jansen has been Den Bosch's big tormentor in the Hoofdklasse since her switch from Oranje-Rood to SCHC. No other player scored as many times against the record champion during that period in the regular league than her: nine times. Michelle Fillet (Amsterdam) follows at a distance with four hits against Den Bosch.

Far from a record in sight
That Jansen, despite her young age, already scored 150 goals in the league is impressive, but it has not yet earned her a top spot on the all-time high-scoring list of the Tulp Hoofdklasse. That ranking has been led for years by Maartje Paumen, who scored 368 times for Oranje Zwart and Den Bosch.
