Quiet summer at Den Bosch and SCHC, renovation at Tilburg

In 22 days, the new Tulp Hoofdklasse season will start. After the men, we now take a look at the women's transfers, with Den Bosch and SCHC in particular remaining very quiet.

Windless in Den Bosch and Bilthoven
Despite the long-term injuries to Laura Nunnink and Emma Reijnen, Den Bosch did not stir on the player market. The national champion wants to make up for the absence of the two midfielders with its own youth. So no newcomers at the Oosterplas, where only the departure of young Valentine Hulsbergen (to HGC) caused a change in the squad. Things remained quiet at SCHC as well: striker Trijntje Beljaars now steers her car towards Amsterdam instead of Bilthoven, where former youth international Noa Boterman is the only new face.

Renovation at Tilburg
Tilburg's selection went through a major transformation this summer. The club will soon start its fourth season in the Tulp Hoofdklasse with nine new faces, including Lotte de Heer. The 27-year-old centre-back wore the Rotterdam shirt for no less than sixteen years. The selections of HGC (seven newcomers), Hurley (seven), Oranje-Rood (seven) and Rotterdam (six) were also provided with new impulses.

Leaving Amsterdam
Top club Amsterdam saw most of its players leave last summer. After a disappointing season - with fourth place in the final standings and elimination in the semi-finals of the play-offs against Den Bosch - nine players pulled the door of the Wagener Stadium shut behind them, including the experienced Maria Verschoor, Noor de Baat (Kampong), goal scorer Michelle Fillet and penalty-corner cannon Agustina Gorzelany. Trijntje Beljaars (from SCHC), Imke Verstraeten (Pinoké) and Daantje de Kruijff (Hurley) are three striking newcomers at Amsterdam, who also have a new coach with Jesse Mahieu.

Appropriate newcomer
Pinoké, which last season qualified for the play-offs for the first time in club history, reinforced itself with, among others, Floor de Haan (Amsterdam), Sam Luttmer (Huizen) and Juul Sauer (University of Connecticut, USA). But the most eye-catching new name in coach Daan Sabel's group of players is that of youth player Meeuw Tulp. It seems inevitable that the attacking midfielder's career will take off in the league that suits her.
