The start of league 2025-2026 is fast approaching. Before that happens, we take one more look back: five notable stats you didn't already know from last season in Tulp Hoofdklasse, starting with the women.

1️⃣ Jansen prolific on foreign soil
SCHC's penalty corner specialist Yibbi Jansen scored 21 times last season, including no fewer than 15 goals away from home. That is more than any other player. Visiting Huizen, she showed her most ruthless side: four goals in the 0-8 victory.

2️⃣ Van den Heuvel queen of field goals
Nobody scored more from open play last season than young SCHC striker Maud van den Heuvel. With 12 field goals, Maud van den Heuvel remained narrowly ahead of teammate Jip Dicke and Kampong attacker Bente van der Veldt (both 11).

3️⃣ Who broke the spell most often?
Three players opened the score most often for their team: Yibbi Jansen (SCHC), Frédérique Matla (Den Bosch) and Fay van der Elst (Amsterdam). They each signed five times for the 1-0. Extra special: Van der Elst did so four times with a field goal, something no other player imitated her.

4️⃣ Den Bosch and SCHC keep door shut
Last season's finalists Den Bosch and SCHC kept the zero most often in the regular league: eight times in 22 matches. Den Bosch was the strongest in away matches (five clearances), SCHC at home (four). At the bottom of the league table was relegated Huizen, which kept its goal clean just once.

5️⃣ Rotterdam's lack of goals
There was little to cheer for Rotterdam on their own pitch. In 11 home games, the team scored just seven times - equalling the negative club record from 1992-1993. Only relegation side Huizen did worse, with six home goals in 22 matches.
