Joep Troost signs new contract at Pinoké until 2028
Joep Troost wil stay longer at Pinoké. The 23-year-old striker signed a new contract that ties him to the club until mid-2028.
The versatile player went through all the youth teams of Pinoké, made a switch to Almere but returned to the old nest last season. In his first year in the main squad of Pinoké, he scored fourteen goals in the Hoofdklasse and made the Dutch national team, for which he played two international matches (one goal) so far. This season, Troost's goal tally stands at two, partly because the striker had some injuries.
Child of the club
'We are very happy with Joep's return and development,' says Balder Bomans, commissioner of top hockey at Pinoké. 'He is a child of the club and since his return has immediately made his mark on our games with his attacking actions and goals. There is nothing better than seeing someone who has gone through the entire youth academy active in the first team and we look forward to fulfilling our joint ambitions in the coming years.'
Troost is also very pleased with his new contract. 'Pinoké is the club where I first got to play with stick and ball at an early age. This has been the club where I always wanted to succeed as a top hockey player. Since my return there have been many highlights, the highlights being my selection for the Dutch national team and winning the EHL. I look forward to experiencing many more highlights with this fantastic club.'
