Jorge Nolte succeeds Jordy van der Waart at Rotterdam
Jordy van der Waart will quit as coach of the Rotterdam women's team after this season. He will be succeeded by Jorge Nolte, who is currently head coach of Leiden and national coach of Switzerland.
Van der Waart is in his second season with the Rotterdam women. Last season he was Brian Vervoort's assistant, this season he was the team's first coach. Van der Waart has indicated he wants to free up more time for his family after the summer.
His successor Nolte previously worked for Klein Zwitserland, Hurley and Bloemendaal. With Leiden, Nolte was in the race for a spot in the play-offs for promotion this season, but the team is now in fifth place on the league table, five points away from a playoff spot.
Rotterdam occupies eleventh place in the Tulp Hoofdklasse with three rounds of play to go in the regular league. The team plays the crucial cracker against HDM this weekend and can do good business in the fight against relegation if they win.
