De Geus and Pieters extend their contracts with Kampong
Kampong has extended the contracts of Dutch international players Jonas de Geus and Terrance Pieters until the end of the 2027-2028 season. This will keep the two loyal to the club at least until the Los Angeles Games.
Midfielder De Geus (27) and striker Pieters (28) made the move together from Almere to Kampong in 2019 and have since become crucial players in the Utrecht squad. With their new contracts, Kampong emphatically opts for continuity and experience within a largely rejuvenated squad.
According to board member Tophockey Mark Jebbink, De Geus and Pieters are of great value to the team. 'Their commitment and top-sport mentality are crucial for continuity. With a view to the development of our young talents, their presence is of great importance,' Jebbink said on the club's website.
De Geus and Pieters have played for prizes with Kampong every season since 2019: they won the national title and the Gold Cup in 2024 and also reached the final of the EHL that year, in which Pinoké was too strong.
