Kampong sign Hidde Plantenga from Voordaan
Twin brothers Hidde and Kjell Plantenga are reunited at Kampong. Last year Kjell left Voordaan for the Utrecht superpower, next season brother Hidde will make the same move.
Hidde Plantenga started his hockey career at Voordaan, where he went through the entire youth academy. Via the district teams, he found his way to the youth selections of Oranje. In 2019, he was with Netherlands O18 in the European Championship final in Valencia and returned with a silver medal. In the 2021-2022 season, he made his debut in Voordaan Men's 1 before joining the first team permanently a year later.
The 20-year-old striker was good for six goals so far this season in the Promotieklasse. He is already the fifth newcomer at Kampong after Luis Calzado (Club de Polo), Koen Meijerink (Nijmegen), Sander van de Putte (Gooische) and Thies Bakker (Schaerweijde).
