Kampong's women have strengthened their squad for next season with Noor de Baat. The 24-year-old midfielder currently plays for Amsterdam, where she has been part of the women's team for eight years.

De Baat, always adorned with a white hairband, started her hockey career at AMCH FIT in Amsterdam-Noord. At the age of 11, she switched to Amsterdam, where she made her debut in the Hoofdklasse at 16. With that club, she won two national championships, three European club titles and one national indoor title.

De Baat went through all Dutch youth selections and became world champion with Jong Oranje and Oranje Indoor and won the World Cup Hockey5s in Oman in 2024. She never broke through in Oranje's main team, but she did play two Pro League matches in and against England with a B-selection of Oranje in 2022.

'We are extremely happy that Noor is joining Kampong,' said Roderick Weusthof, board member of the club. 'Her passion for the game and her perseverance make Noor an excellent match with the values we hold dear at Kampong. We will achieve great results together with Noor.'

De Baat herself is looking forward to her new adventure at Kampong with great confidence and enthusiasm: 'I am happy that, on behalf of the club, confidence has been expressed in me as part of the selection. The ambition here appeals to me enormously.'
