Kampong's ladies did not make a mistake. On Thursday evening, the number two of the Tulp Hoofdklasse handled Oranje-Rood, the number eleven of the rankings, at home. Coach Kai de Jager's team won the postponed match 3-1. Guusje Moes scored two of the three Utrecht goals.

At the Klapperboom, Kampong recorded its sixth win in the last six league matches. After a scoreless first quarter, Guusje Moes opened the scoring after 23 minutes. Just before half-time, Lynn Vasterink equalised from a penalty corner. It was her first goal of the season.

Eleven minutes after half-time, Moes brought Kampong to the lead again. This time she was prolific from a penalty corner. This lifted her season total to six goals, four of them from a corner. Ten minutes before time, Luna Fokke decided the match definitively in Kampong's favour. With a right drag flick she scored her fifth goal of the season and gave her team its third home win in a row.

With the tenth win of the season, Kampong is second, three points off leader SCHC. Oranje-Rood suffered its fifth consecutive away defeat and will meet bottom-placed Tilburg next weekend. The difference between the two teams is three points.
