Kappelle swaps Hoofdklasse for Spanish adventure
Ilse Kappelle and Amsterdam are parting ways after ten years. The 27-year-old defender will next season play for Atlètic Terrassa, last season the number two in the Spanish league.
The 27-year-old Kappelle was one of the top club's captains. She became an international with Amsterdam and made 15 appearances in the Dutch national team. In 2021, she won the European Championship at home with the Netherlands. In 2015, the Gelderlander transferred from her youth club Union.
Amsterdam will have a completely different face next season. Earlier, Maria Verschoor, Michelle Fillet, Floor de Haan, Fiona Morgenstern, Agustina Gorzelany and Noor de Baat already announced their departure from the club. Verschoor and Fillet are also moving to Spain: they recently signed with Real Sociedad from Santander.
