Klein Zwitserland sign New Zealand goalgetter Sam Lane
Klein Zwitserland have secured the services of Sam Lane for next season. The 28-year-old goalgetter from New Zealand has signed a two-season contract with the current number eight of the Tulp Hoofdklasse.
Lane made his name two seasons ago at Oranje-Rood, where he accounted for 31 league goals in a season and a half. In April 2024, he suffered a foot injury during a training camp with the national team, bringing his period with the Eindhoven club to an abrupt end.
Lane has been an international with the Black Sticks for eight years. He was active at two Olympics and the last World Cup. Next summer, he will play with the New Zealand squad in the group stage of the World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium, including against the Dutchmen.
