Matla and Hertzberger lead assists' rankings

Last season, Frédérique Matla was already good for ten assists in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women and this season too, the Den Bosch striker is again tailor-made passes to teammates. In the thirteen games of the first half of the competition, she prepared six goals for teammates. This means she is currently leading the assist rankings. Matla is also already leading the top scorer list with thirteen goals.

Whereas last season it was mainly Joosje Burg who benefited from Matla's preparatory work (nine goals), this season there are several players who are put in perfect scoring position by the striker. Burg scored twice after a Matla pass, and Sanne Koolen, Lieve Wijckmans, Maartje Krekelaar and Charlotte Englebert once each.

Hertzberger-Hortensius tandem

Rotterdam attacker Jeroen Hertzberger not only scored 11 goals in league play this season, he also prepared six goals by teammates in the first 11 games, the most of any player.

Remarkably, Olivier Hortensius in particular took full advantage of Hertzberger's passing abillities. The young striker converted five of Hertzberger's six decisive passes into goals. The other assist went to Thijs van Dam.
