The relegation worries remain for the ladies of Tilburg. The straggler in the Tulp Hoofdklasse lost 3-1 to HDM at home on Sunday. Tilburg suffered no further damage in that battle on the fifteenth round, as competitor and number eleven Oranje-Rood also went down. They lost 6-0 to Amsterdam at Wagener Stadium. Leaders SCHC had little trouble with Hurley, winning 7-1. Dutch champion Den Bosch made no mistake against Bloemendaal (0-2) and Rotterdam took a point against Pinoké (2-2).

TILBURG - HDM 1-3
In the battle against relegation, Tilburg desperately needs the points, but the straggler went down 3-1 against HDM in front of its own crowd.

The Tilburg team faced a deficit after only seven minutes. A foul on Roos Alkemade was punished with a penalty stroke, which was scored by Belén van den Broek. Ten minutes later, Kaat Walhof doubled the score. Before half-time, Tilburg came back through Carolin Hoffmann. However, the equaliser did not come. It was HDM that scored again through Julia Duffhuis from a penalty corner.

It was HDM's fourth win on foreign soil in 14 matches and moved up the rankings to eighth place. Tilburg suffered its eighth defeat in the last nine league games. They remain three points behind number eleven Oranje-Rood.

SCHC - HURLEY 7-1
SCHC had little trouble with Hurley. The leaders won 7-1 in Bilthoven. Yibbi Jansen scored three goals, taking her season total to 15. Jansen is a real tease for Hurley. In fact, it is her favourite opponent. She scored 23 goals against the Owls. Eight as an Orange-Rood player and 15 on behalf of SCHC.

After the quick opening goal by Xan de Waard, it took until the third quarter before the score was increased further through two goals by Pien Dicke and a goal by her sister Jip, her fifteenth of the season. Michelle van Drift made it 5-1 in between.

With the win, SCHC is already unbeaten for 29 games in the regular league. Hurley suffered its third defeat in the last five matches. Moreover, the team dropped from eighth to ninth place. The difference with number ten HGC is four points.

AMSTERDAM - ORANGE-ROOD 6-0
With three goals in a span of five minutes, Amsterdam laid the foundations for a 6-0 victory over Oranje-Rood just before half-time. Incidentally, it was only the third win for the Amsterdam team in the last eight home games.

Freeke Moes opened the scoring after 23 minutes, before Marijn Veen's two goals made it 3-0 at halftime. Veen needs one more goal for the milestone of fifty goals in the Tulp Hoofdklasse on behalf of Amsterdam. Felice Albers, incidentally, was missing for Amsterdam's side due to injury. After half-time, Imke Verstraeten scored twice. The 5-0 from a penalty stroke was a curious one. At first, goalkeeper Renske van Limpt seemed to stop Verstraeten's effort, but the ball bounced into the goal after all. Trijntje Beljaars made it 6-0.

For Oranje-Rood it was the sixth away defeat in a row, equalling a negative club record. The defeat had no consequences for the league table. Competitors HGC and Tilburg also lost. The difference with straggler Tilburg remains three points.

PINOKÉ - ROTTERDAM 2-2
Against Rotterdam, Flo Klinkhamer prevented defeat for Pinoké in the closing stages. Her hit was good for a 2-2 final score, but meant another points loss for the Stingernoses.

In the last nine league matches, the team suffered only one defeat, but lost as many as ten points in the remaining matches through five draws.

Pinoké took the lead just before half-time through Lana Kalse, her ninth goal of the season. In the fourth quarter, Rotterdam turned the deficit around through two goals by Julie van Dam. She seemed to become the matchwinner for Rotterdam, but Klinkhamer's goal ensured that Rotterdam kept only one point from the encounter in the Amsterdamse Bos.

BLOEMENDAAL - DEN BOSCH 0-2
Bloemendaal failed to turn their second encounter with Den Bosch into a win as well. Earlier this season Bloemendaal surprisingly won 2-1 at the Oosterplas. This time, Den Bosch was too strong at 't Kopje: 0-2.

After an initial phase in which Den Bosch goalkeeper Josine Koning kept her team afloat with several saves, Teuntje de Wit opened the scoring for the Bosch formation. Coach Marieke Dijkstra could not call on Frédérique Matla, who remained sidelined with an injury. Pien Sanders decided the final score 2-0 just before time.

The defeat ended a run of three unbeaten matches for Bloemendaal. Den Bosch has not lost a point in the league since the 4-2 defeat against Kampong on 9 November last year. The team recorded five wins in a row in the Tulp Hoofdklasse.
