The men's teams of Rotterdam and Amsterdam suffered defeats on the seventh round of the Tulp Hoofdklasse on Sunday. Rotterdam went down at home against Den Bosch (3-4) and Amsterdam lost to Klein Zwitserland in The Hague by the same figures. Pinoké took advantage of the competition's slip and took the lead thanks to an 8-3 win over Laren. Kampong had its hands full against Schaerweijde, but pulled off the win in the end: 3-4.

Rotterdam - Den Bosch 3-4
Den Bosch ended a run of eight unbeaten matches by the home club in Rotterdam. Rotterdam surrendered a 2-0 and 3-2 lead and lost for the first time this season: 3-4. Six minutes before time, Thierry Brinkman gave the visitors the full spoils after a delightful volley. It finally meant another win for Den Bosch after three games without a win. It is only the second win of the season for coach Nanco Jansonius' team, which also recorded its first away win after six away games without a three-point lead. De Bosch remains eighth and Rotterdam dropped to third place due to the defeat.

Klein Zwitserland - Amsterdam 4-3
For the third time in four away games, Amsterdam has lost points. The national champion went down 4-3 against Klein Zwitserland in The Hague. In doing so, coach Rick Mathijssen's team suffered its first defeat of the season. Klein Zwitserland took a 2-0 lead before Boris Burkhardt returned for Amsterdam with his twelfth goal of the season. After half-time, Klein Zwitserland ran out to 4-1. The margin was too big for Amsterdam to overcome. Through Floris Middendorp and Dayaan Cassiem the gap was reduced but not closed. It was Klein Zwitserland's first win in four matches and maintains its unbeaten status. As a result, Klein Zwitserland climbs to spot five. Amsterdam drops to place three.

Pinoké - Laren 8-3
Pinoké hit a double in the Amsterdamse Bos. It beat Laren 8-3 to take the lead in the Tulp Hoofdklasse. The matches were actually decided before half-time. Pinoké led 5-0 after two quarters. Joep Troost scored three goals for the new leader and is now on ten goals. Pinoké is still unbeaten after seven rounds and is eight games without defeat on its own field. Laren lost its last six away games and is waiting eight matches for a win at the highest level.

Schaerweijde - Kampong 3-4
At the Zeister Kuil it went either way. Kampong built a 2-0 lead. Schaerweijde then turned the deficit into a 3-2 lead. But winning was not in the cards for the home team. Duco Telgenkamp scored two goals to give Schaerweijde the upper hand and took the points back to Utrecht. The winning goal came five minutes before time when Schaerweijde was outnumbered following a green card for Lode Draaijer. Schaerweijde have been waiting for a win on their own pitch for 10 matches and have now lost six home matches in a row. For Kampong, it is only the second win of the season, after four matches without a win.

Hurley - HDM 0-4
HDM recorded a big 0-4 victory over straggler Hurley at the Amsterdamse Bos. The home club remains scoreless from seven matches and is already seventeen matches without a win at the highest level. Tom Provily opened the scoring for the visitors in the second quarter. After half-time, Mats Dicke doubled the lead before Fabian Verzuu and Yorben Fontaine, from a penalty corner, made the final score 0-4. For HDM, it means the third win in the last four games and occupies seventh place in the league table. Hurley is thus last, but saw competitors Laren and Schaerweijde also fail to take points.
