No one scored more goals in 2024 than Matla
Frédérique Matla has crowned herself the most prolific player in the Tulp Hoofdklasse this calendar year. The Den Bosch striker reached 29 goals in all of 2024.
In Den Bosch's 23 regular league games, Matla scored 20 goals from a penalty corner, five from penalty strokes and four from open play. With nine of her 29 goals, she put her team ahead in a game.
A good distance away from Matla, SCHC's Yibbi Jansen finished second on the 2024 top scorer list. The penalty corner specialist had 19 goals scored. Jansen's teammate Jip Dicke, who came over from HDM halfway through this year, is in third place with seventeen goals. Of all players in the Hoofdklasse, she scored the most field goals (twelve).
Last calendar year, the roles were reversed, by the way. Back then, Jansen was top scorer of the year with 24 goals and Matla finished second with 21 goals.
