Five players still in the race for the top scorer title
With one round of play to go, as many as five players still have a chance of winning the top scorer title in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men. Boris Burkhardt and Timo Boers go into the weekend with a narrow lead.
Burkhardt and Boers both added one goal to their total during the previous round of play and are now on 27 hits. Miles Bukkens moved one step closer to the list leaders after his two goals against Hurley.
With 26 goals, the Pinoké striker equalled a club record held by Justin Reid-Ross. The latter scored 26 for the Stekneuzen in the 2011-2012 season. Bukkens can only get his hands on the record next Sunday if he manages to score in the final match against Bloemendaal.
Behind this trio, Jeroen Hertzberger (Rotterdam) and Jip Janssen (Kampong) are also still in the race for the honorary title. Hertzberger (24 goals) will play his very last game for Rotterdam on Sunday against Klein Zwitserland and will want to end it with a memorable performance. Janssen takes on SCHC with Kampong and hopes to boost his total of 24 goals as a warm-up for the play-offs.
