Tilburg - Oranje-Rood 2-3
In a repeat of the Gold Cup semi-final match on 20 March, this time Oranje-Rood pulled ahead and left Tilburg with a 3-2 victory. After a quick opening goal by Madelief de Beer, Tilburg came alongside through a penalty corner by Daphne Nikkels.
A penalty stroke by Mikke Roberts even gave the home team the lead, but in a spectacular third quarter Janneke van de Venne's two goals within three minutes completely turned the game on its head. For Orange-Rood, this victory means the first win after three games without a win.
The third win of the season for Oranje-Rood ensures that coach Mark Dekker's team has moved up from eleventh to the safe ninth spot. Tilburg, which is having a strong season, suffered its second defeat in a row.
Pinoké - HDM 4-1
Pinoké recorded a convincing 4-1 win over HDM at home. The Stekneuzen were right on target and took a 2-0 lead after just four minutes through goals by Tessa Beetsma and Lana Kalse. After half-time, Elin van Erk added a third before Roos Alkemade did something back for HDM. Kalse determined the final score at 4-1 with her second goal.
Incidentally, it was only Pinoké's third win at home in eleven meetings with the Hague opponent. With the victory, Pinoké strengthens its starting position for participation in the play-offs. For coach Daan Sabel's team, it was the fourth home victory in a row. HDM, which lost for the eighth time in a row, dropped to eleventh place.
