Phileine Hazen from Bloemendaal to SCHC
SCHC will have a different face in goal next season. The Bilthoven players say goodbye to first-choice Elodie Picard. The Belgian will play next hockey year in her own country, at Leuven.
The international was out of action after the winter break due to a serious knee injury, which led to Marsha Zwezereijn taking over as coach.
Phileine Hazen will be Picard's successor. The 20-year-old goalie comes over from Bloemendaal, where she defended the goal for the past 2.5 years. With de Mussen, she became champion of the Promotieklasse last year and won the Gold Cup earlier this month. With Jong Oranje, Hazen became world champion last December.
'I am very happy that I can make this switch already now,' Hazen responded in a press release on her move. 'I had a wonderful time with Bloemendaal, but now I will join SCHC in one of the best teams in the world. I'm looking forward to training and playing at the highest level every week.'
