Pinoké adds another record to their best season ever

Pinoké

Pinoké's women are on their best season ever numerically. Coach Daan Sabel's team improved a club record last weekend on a visit to Tilburg (2-3 win) not for the first time this season.

Pinoké - the proud number three on the league table - secured its twelfth win this season in Tilburg, a tightening of the club records from 2020-2021 and 2023-2024, when the Stekneuzen won ten of their 22 matches. The three goals against Tilburg increased Pinoké's production to 47 goals in nineteen matches. That too is a new club record: last season the team scored 46 goals, then an improvement on the 2021-2022 club record (43 goals).

Unique performance Imke Verstraeten

Imke Verstraeten, Pinoké's club top scorer this season, has a major contribution to Pinoké's record production with 12 goals. She is the first player in Pinoké's premier league history to manage to score more than 11 times in one season. She beats the record of former player Nicci de Haas, who scored eleven goals in 2005-2006.

With her twelve goals, Verstraeten is in the sub-top of the top scorers' list. Since last weekend, the latter is no longer led by Den Bosch striker Frédérique Matla (injured for weeks), but now also has Yibbi Jansen as frontrunner. The SCHC midfielder scored her eighteenth goal of the season on Sunday against Hurley (1-2 win).
