After victory over Den Bosch, can Pinoké also beat Amsterdam?
Ramon Min|03.05.2025
The Tulp Hoofdklasse Women is up to the round of play 21. Amsterdam can secure play-offs and only a stunt can save Huizen from relegation.
AMSTERDAM - PINOKÉ
Sunday, 14:45
- This is a matches between the numbers four and three of the league table. Amsterdam (39 points) is four points behind Pinoké. The number three in the final ranking avoids a playoff confrontation with the team leading the regular league. At the moment, that is Den Bosch.
- Should Amsterdam finish fourth, it will be only the third time the team has qualified for the playoffs as number four. It previously happened in the 2010-2011 and 2014-2015 seasons. Back then, the team fell in the semi-finals each time.
- Pinoké won only one of its last fifteen league matches with Amsterdam (D2 L12). That was the 5-3 on home turf of 10 October 2021.
- Amsterdam won six of the last seven home matches with Pinoké and only lost points (2-2) on 24 March 2022.
- Pinoké, already qualified for the playoffs, won its last four matches and is unbeaten since six matches (W D W W W W).
ROTTERDAM - SCHC
Sunday, 2:45pm
- SCHC won the last eight matches between them with Rotterdam since a 1-1 draw in Bilthoven on 6 March 2011.
- SCHC is already 15 matches in a row unbeaten against Rotterdam (W11 D4) since a 3-2 defeat in Rotterdam on 15 April 2007. Ellen Hoog was one of SCHC's goal scorers then, while Fatima Moreira de Melo, among others, scored for Rotterdam.
- Rotterdam lost the last four home matches with SCHC, conceding 19 goals: 2-3, 0-5, 1-7 and 1-4.
- Rotterdam has not won nine matches in a row in the Hoofdklasse: L L L L L L D L D.
- SCHC is the most productive team in this league with 72 goals in twenty games. The team can achieve a new club record in the remaining two rounds of play. In the 2015-2016 and 2022-2023 seasons, the team reached 75 goals.
HGC - ORANJE-ROOD
Sunday, 2:45pm
- HGC lost only the very first meeting between them with Oranje-Rood (5-0 in Eindhoven on 3 November 2019). After that, the team remained unbeaten seven times in a row (D D W W D W W).
- On its own pitch, HGC has yet to lose to Oranje-Rood: 0-0, 1-0 and 3-1.
- After a mini series of three matches without defeat, HGC went down heavily at SCHC (6-1) last weekend.
- Oranje-Rood currently occupies ninth place with fifteen points from twenty matches. If the team wins against HGC and competitors HDM (fourteen points) and Rotterdam (twelve) lose points, the Eindhoven squad will keep its place in the league.
- HGC's club top scorer Amy Costello already opened the scoring four times in a game this season. Only Fay van der Elst (Amsterdam), Frédérique Matla (Den Bosch) and Yibbi Jansen (SCHC) broke open the score more often (five times).
DEN BOSCH - HUIZEN
Sunday, 2:45pm
- Den Bosch won all five matches between them with Huizen with the goal figures 15-1.
- Den Bosch lost 3-2 at Pinoké last week, suffering their first league defeat in 953 days. This ended a record series of 60 games without a loss (W50 D10).
- Striker Huizen can hardly avoid direct relegation. Even with a huge stunt against Den Bosch, coach Donald Drost's team is still dependent on the results of the competition.
- The home game with Huizen has a special touch for Den Bosch. For the women from Den Bosch it is their thousandth official match in all competitions at the highest level since promotion to the Hoofdklasse in 1990. Of the current 999, Den Bosch has played 763 in the Hoofdklasse, 116 in the play-offs, 27 in the cup tournament and 93 in a European context.
- In the Hoofdklasse, Den Bosch has not lost 31 home matches already (W28 G3). The last defeat at Oosterplas was the 1-3 against SCHC on 11 Sepember 2022.
HDM - TILBURG
Sunday, 2:45pm
- Matches between HDM and Tilburg have never ended in a draw. HDM recorded three wins, Tilburg two.
- Only 12 goals have been scored in the five matches between them so far, and never more than three goals per game.
- HDM remained unbeaten in its last two matches (W1 D1), while before that the team lost nine in a row.
- Only Huizen scored fewer field goals (three) than HDM (seven) this season.
- Tilburg needs two more goals for a new goal record in its fledgling premier league history. Last season the team scored 29 goals, now the tally stands at 28.
HURLEY - KAMPONG
Sunday, 2:45pm
- Hurley won one of its last four league matches with Kampong: D L W L.
- In the last nine matches between the two team, the home team remained unbeaten each time (W6 D3).
- Hurley won its last five home matches against Kampong and is already unbeaten six home matches in a row (W5 D1).
- This is Robbert van de Peppel's last home match as Hurley coach. He is transferring to the SCHC women after three seasons.
- Kampong lost only two of its last 12 league matches (W6 D4). The last two matches did not result in a win: 4-1 at Den Bosch and 2-2 against Amsterdam.
- Kampong scored 55 goals in twenty games this season. With that, coach Kai de Jager's team can still match or maybe improve a club record. In the 2000-2001 season, Kampong scored 63 goals in 22 matches. That has been the club record ever since.
